Hello! My name is Becca.

I spent 10 years in the restaurant industry and absolutely loved it. Sadly I found myself needing to pivot away from restaurants due to the COVID-19 pandemic after the promotion to Pastry Chef that I had been offered was no longer an option and full time hours were no longer available to me. The restaurant group I was employed by was shut down in early March 2020 and continued to struggle thereafter.

I had never worked in any other industry, but had to make difficult sacrifices in order to provide for my family. I found myself at a Social Security Disability law firm, where I was promoted from intake clerk to attorney assistant after three months due to my strong work ethic and ability to keep up with a demandingly high volume of work. Though it was a field I had no experience in at all, I have been able to find success in a very stressful environment.

Though there may not be any apparent connection between my experiences in the restaurant industry, running a business with my husband, and Social Security Disability law, I have found that these experiences have all helped me to hone skills that would translate well to any position. I am highly motivated, a quick learner, and very detail oriented, and have reinforced my ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and communicate
effectively. I am a hard worker, self motivated, and thorough at any task I am given. I work remote one day a week now and love it. I would very much like to find a permanently remote position that would allow me greater flexibility over my schedule, save me a daily commute, and allow me to stay home with our sweet Golden Retriever!
