Hi! Iโm Bautista, a Software Engineer from Argentina. I graduated from the Technological National University in 2018, but I actually started working in the industry before finishing my studies. Since day one, Iโve been passionate about building products that matter โ and moving fast to make them happen.
My first role was at MSTechnologies, where I worked across multiple projects at once, switching contexts quickly and learning to deliver under pressure. One thing Iโm especially proud of from that time was realizing the team had no version control in place. Despite being the youngest dev there, I took the initiative to propose and deliver a tech talk on Git. It ended up becoming the standard across all teams. That was a key moment for me โ learning that you donโt need permission to raise the bar, even if youโre new.
Then I joined a startup called Whyline. That was my first taste of real startup energy โ building fast, deploying live to thousands of users, and really feeling the ownership of what we shipped. I introduced unit testing and helped move the codebase from 0% to 80% test coverage. Not because someone asked me to โ but because I knew it would help us move faster and catch bugs earlier. We even explored TDD to level up our development flow.
Later, I joined Attendery, a super early-stage startup where I was the third person on the team. I owned the backend from scratch โ everything from secure APIs, JWT-based auth, rate limiting, to integrating third-party APIs with cost-awareness. When the pandemic hit and the travel industry collapsed, I proposed a product pivot โ we held a brainstorming session, sunset unfinished features, and shipped a COVID dashboard MVP in under two weeks. It was scrappy, high-impact work that kept us alive.
After that, I moved to a larger company to balance some personal priorities, but even there, I kept the startup mindset. I grew into the role of Frontend Lead, helping transition the codebase into a monorepo with micro-frontends to unblock teams and reduce friction. I was deeply involved in technical planning, mentoring, and ensuring frontend development stayed fast, focused, and scalable.
Now that Iโve finished a personal project, I have the time and energy to get fully involved in a startup again. Iโve worked in both big companies and small teams, and I know for sure that I enjoy the startup way of working a lot more. I like moving fast, building things that users actually need, and working closely with a small group of people who care about what theyโre building. Iโm not looking for a super polished environment โ I want to be part of something thatโs growing, where I can help make decisions, ship quickly, and push things forward every day.
