I'm an experienced accountant with a wide variety of experience. I am currently working in outsourced accounting, and have gained experience with both for-profit and non-profit clients of varying complexities. I have learned to process payroll, perform a variety of reconciliations, and generalize my skills to be suitable for a larger base. I have worked at non-profit organizations for almost eight years, doing a variety of accounting functions. I started out in an accounts payable/accounts receivable position, and have experience in both paying invoices and billing. I then moved up to the general ledger. My primary responsibilities were reporting, both to funding agencies and to the government. My experience with month end work during that time included recording revenue, processing payroll corrections, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and reviewing expense accounts for accuracy. I also trained in additional duties, such as closing the month, processing fixed assets, completing tax returns, participating in a variety of audits, and cash monitoring functions. I am a great all-rounder, with a solid knowledge of a number of different areas of the accounting process.
