Office Managing Partner-EY Afghanistan. Established the EY office in Afghanistan in 2009 and remained Office Managing Partner till 2017 just before retirement and managed the transition till 2018 when retired.
Assisted the Leadership (Country Managing Partner) in establishing the EY Offices in Lahore (Capital of Punjab Province of Pakistan) and Islamabad (the Capital of Pakistan).
Assisted the Leadership in establishing the Islamic Financial Services Department in the firm.
Assisted the Leadership in establishing the formal Training Centre and Capacity Building Department of firm with modern facilities.
Remained member of Executive Board of the firm for five years.
In Afghanistan, had carried out various assignments awarded by USAID, UKAID, UNDP and other Development Sector set-ups.
Developed a cordial relationship with the USAID OMB and OIG teams in execution of various assignments.

Social Work and Contribution
A writer for local top newspaper for three years. Wrote 46 articles on Self-Organization and Time Management and the Workplace organizational Skills.
Based on these articles, a book was published in local language and translated into five languages.
The English translation is known as- “Highway to Success” and available on Amazon and Payhip.com and on net.
The Pashto and Dari translation of book is available in PDF and used as training material for capacity building of Afghan youth.
Wrote another seven books on the topic of Survival, Self-Improvement, and Success. All are available either on Amazon or Payhip.com.
Gave presentation on one of the popular TV Channel of the country. These presentations have been converted into a book. (Waqt aur Zindagi ki Tanzeem)
More than 300 videos are available on YouTube Channel (YouTube-Basheer Juma-Playlist).
Delivered more than 100 lectures and presentations (pro bono) to various universities, Institutions, Clubs, and business organizations on the topic of Self and Time Management.
Delivered 8 presentations in English language to the participants of the virtual events organized by the Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad. 533 participants from 53 countries completed the whole training and got the certificate. The event was concluded by the Vice Chancellor of the University. The videos are available on YouTube.
Delivered 4 presentations in Urdu language to the participants of the virtual events organized by Centre for Peace and Global Studies in collaboration with one USA based and one Malysia based organization. There registration was around 1900. The videos are available on YouTube.
Recently wrote and published a book on Performance Review of NGOs and Social Organizations and delivered presentations to TAIF a Learning Management System.
Gave presentation to the nominees of ICNA-USA and The Academy of Islamic Finance for the 3Es of the NGO Performance-Effectiveness, Efficiency and Economy.
The TAIF has made a training of my presentations under the title of “Survival Skills-Personal and Professional. This is a five-hour program with certificate at a nominal fee.
Prepared first Model Working Papers” for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Remained President for the Ethnic Community for two terms (each term for two years-Veraval Patan Memon Anjuman).
Running matrimonial matching website for Muslim communities without any fee.

Audit and the Physical Verification of USAID granted/gifted 50 million books for the students of 6000 plus schools spread over whole of the Afghanistan through Ministry of Education from the printing press to the students. Including the quality of paper and benefit to beneficiary-1300 plus schools in addition to Central provinces, district warehouses.

In view of my experience of audit of companies managed by families and their next generation, have understood related business strategy, finance, and management, as well as experience working with leadership of family businesses. With good communication and interpersonal skills and building relationships with family members and other stakeholders in the business, able to facilitate the family members to enhance synergy in their endeavours.
As a family business advisor, a range of services are expected by the prospective clients, which may include:
1. Assessing the family dynamics: An understanding of family dynamics and how it can impact the business. Assessment through observation in individual meetings and participation in combined meetings, the family members' personalities, values, and relationships to identify any potential conflicts that could affect the business.
2. Strategic planning: Helping family businesses define their long-term goals and developing strategies to achieve those goals.
3. Succession planning: Assisting family businesses in preparing for a smooth transition of ownership and management to the next generation.
4. Governance and family constitution: Developing family constitutions and governance structures to manage family dynamics and ensure the long-term success of the business.
5. Family dynamics: Helping families navigate the complexities of family relationships and communication in the context of the business.
6. Financial management: Providing advice on financial planning and management, including tax planning, cash flow management, and risk management. However, technical and field work is outsourced.
7. Business performance improvement: Identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to increase the profitability and sustainability of the business.
8. Conflict resolution: Helping family members resolve disputes in a constructive and collaborative manner.
9. Social contribution: Helping and persuading clients to agree to work out their Zakat annually, pay tax as per legal, do charity as a Corporate and Social Responsibility, create employment opportunity, and upliftment of the society through education and training.
10. Training and Capacity building: Assisting the Second/next Generation family members to realize the efforts and contribution made by the first/earlier generation in the business and carry on their ethical values and traditions in the succession process. Group discussions and study circles and combined study and shadow board meeting will facilitate the integration and enhancement of the relationship.
