Microsoft Responsibilities/Contributions – Amit Panchal, a ten-year Microsoft veteran, is responsible for the supporting the growth of Microsoft’s Modern Workplace portfolio. He is part of the E+D Engineering team responsible for the Go-To-Market strategy for Microsoft’s multi-cloud business. He and his team will take a nascent business from $0-$200mn.
Prior to this role, Amit was responsible for the supporting the growth of Microsoft’s Modern Workplace portfolio for the Americas from $8bn - $16bn. Amit led a team of sales professionals and business strategists responsible for selling, solutioning, and successfully deploying the most complex and challenging requirements for Microsoft’s productivity cloud. His expertise includes Office 365, Teams, Enterprise Security, Windows, Surface/Devices, and Incubation technologies such as Workplace Analytics, LinkedIn Learning, and Microsoft Managed Desktop.
Amit also led the competitive strategy team that focuses on Google, Amazon, Zoom, Facebook, and Cisco technologies. He and his team help improve the organization’s understanding of competitive business strategies and technologies so that Microsoft can effectively compete, defend, and win share for its device platforms and offerings.
Recently, Amit has spearheaded efforts in the government and regulatory space leading to the progress of Microsoft’s GCC and ITAR solutions.

Pre-Microsoft Experience – Amit has proven experience across retail, financial, and military sectors. He was recruited from Standard & Poor’s where he was responsible for Technology Infrastructure & Operations facets supporting 26K users and 100+ locations. His work ensured the S&P 500 was able to be measured and tracked daily.
Military Experience – Amit is a US Navy veteran and served as USS Harpers Ferry’s (LSD-49) Chief Technology Officer responsible for the design and implementation of a shipboard LAN/WAN infrastructure. For his efforts, he was awarded the prestigious Sailor of the Year commendation.
Education – Amit earned his MBA in Technology Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is also NJIT’s adjunct professor for Operations Management / Project Management.
