I am seeking to pivot my career from UX design to front-end development or software engineering because, over the course of my career in UX research and design, I’ve developed a deep interest in the technical aspects of software creation. During my academic journey in Information Technology, where I concentrated on Digital Media Development and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and my freelancing projects, I had significant exposure to Java programming along with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, Game Programming, as well as RDBMS and full stack web development. My experience included several Web Development and ERP projects that ignited my passion for front-end development.
Although my professional experience has been centered around UX and digital media design and research, I’ve always been fascinated by the logic and problem-solving involved in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
I have consistently worked closely with developers throughout my UX career, which further reinforced my desire to transition into the development side. My attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and experience in managing complex projects have equipped me with strong foundational skills that are transferable to web & software development along with DevOps roles.
I am motivated to make this career shift as I find great satisfaction in coding and enjoy learning new technologies. I am eager to extend my software and web development knowledge and embrace this new path, combining my understanding of user experience with a developer's mindset to create effective and innovative software solutions.
