We are looking for a person who can establish efficient processes and create a comfortable environment for everyone. Youโll oversee a team of cross-functional Engineers and partner with Leadership & Product Management to define meaningful metrics, processes, and practices.\n\nWhat youโll be doing:\n\n\nLead a distributed team of cross-functional Engineers\n\nEstablish best practices to ensure a high-quality product & consistent delivery of working systems on time.\n\nDesign, implement, and document product development, testing, and deployment processes.\n\nCollaborate with Leadership & Product Management on roadmapping, technical planning & prioritization.\n\nGrow engineersโ skills, experience and confidence through regular 1:1s, coaching, actionable feedback, work and peer alignment, and career advocacy.\n\nManage, support, and evaluate engineersโ performance.\n\nMaintain and strengthen Zerionโs culture of growth, openness, trust, mutual support, and care.\n\nHire new talent for the team.\n\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\n\nExperience managing and scaling an engineering team at rapidly growing organization (start-up of scale-up).\n\nTechnical knowledge to discuss issues, approaches, and solutions in depth.\n\nPassion about Web3 & open financial systems - preferable with tangible proof points.\n\nDesire to manage a fully-remote geographically distributed team.\n\nAt least 4 years of Software Engineering experience.\n\nAt least 2 years of Engineering Management experience.\n\n\nWhat you need to succeed:\n\n\nAbility to do both long term thinking and short term planning.\n\nExperience working with modern distributed systems at scale.\n\nPassion about efficient engineering processes & practices and desire to foster an environment that creates them.\n\nExperience attracting, retaining, and growing great Engineering talent\n\n\nYou are likely a perfect candidate if you have:\n\n\nWorked at a growth stage startup with 50+ employees.\n\nActively coached, mentored and incentivized team members in their careers remotely.\n\nHave passion for building products to the highest standards across many dimensions (user experience, performance, reliability, security).\n\nHave high emotional intelligence.\n\n\nBonus points:\n\n\nFounder / Startup experience.\n\nYou aped into degen tokens or NFTs and got rekt a few times.\n\nExperience scaling products through constant learning and experimentation, in fast-paced and rapidly changing industries.\n\nInterest in snowboarding, wake surfing, mountain biking, kitesurfing or other active sports.\n\n\nPlease see the responsibilities described above as a combination of expectations and opportunities.
