Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) is the advocacy and political arm of PPFA.\n\nPlanned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a strategic thinker who is results-oriented and comfortable using data analytics to drive strategy development and decision making to serve as Senior Director. This job reports to the (Interim) Vice President of the Principal and Major Gifts Team (PMG) of PPFA. The PMG team raises revenue from high net-worth individuals and families by building and deepening relationships to yield six, seven and eight figure gifts to support the mission of PPFA, PPAF, Planned Parenthood Votes, and the Planned Parenthood Federal PAC. \n\nPurpose: \nThe Senior Director, Principal and Major Gifts will work across the Principal and Major Gifts (PMG) team, the Development division and the organization as a whole to refine PPFAโs principal and major gifts fundraising systems, including prospect development, pipeline management and PMG operations. They will work in partnership with the Interim VP/National Director of PMG, providing innovative operational support of the PMG frontline team and participating affiliates in the Collaborative Fundraising Program, as well as integrating new affiliates joining this expanding program. \n\nDelivery:\n โ Provide strategic oversight and management of fundraising activity and performance across the department by working with PMG team leaders to set and track progress against fundraising goals and the major gift pipeline. \nโ Partner with Finance, Office of General Counsel and Office of the Chief Development Officer to ensure fundraising practices are in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. \nโ Direct principal and major gifts development services including research, prospect management, gifts and records and reporting with an eye to ongoing improvement of processes to ensure an exceptional donor experience and the department's ability to accurately project and meet goals. \nโ Collaborate with the Director of the CFP Program and the Director of Major Gifts to ensure the extension of principal and major gifts development services to current affiliate partners in the Collaborative Fundraising Program (CFP) in onboarding, maintenance, budgeting and program expansion. \nโ Direct all aspects of budgeting and reporting for the department, especially on current fundraising results and year over year trends. Track metrics for the organizationโs Program Impact Dashboard. \n\nEngagement:ย \nThe Senior Director leads a team of 13 and directly supervises five people; a Manager of Strategic Operations, Director of Prospect Development, PMG coordinator, Director of Operations, PMG Specialist. They will work in close collaboration with the Interim Vice President, Principal and Major Gifts, the Director of Major Gifts, and the Director of Donor Relations. The Senior Director serves on the Development Leadership Team (DLT) and the Principal and Major Gifts Leadership Team, on which they will collaborate on key priorities, communications, and culture building. The Senior Director will partner with the CDOs of our affiliate partners in the Collaborative Fundraising Partnership to strategize on Major Gift activities and maximize revenue. They will direct interactions with affiliate partners, particularly as related to prospect development and revenue operations issues. The Senior Director liaises directly with the Office of the Chief Development Officer and Human Resources, Finance and Office of General Counsel teams. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):ย \nโข 10 years demonstrated experience and increasing responsibility in fundraising, specifically a development strategy or operations role. \nโข Experience managing a team and mentoring staff. \nโข Strong organizational and project management skills- with the ability to manage multiple assignments and quickly changing priorities in a fast paced environment. \nโข Deep understanding of the connection between power; racial, sexual, economic, and gender inequity; and the intersection with reproductive justice. \nโข Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans to garner results. \nโข Comfort with data analysis to drive decision making. \nโข Experience managing a comprehensive budgeting process from start to finish. \nโข Understanding of the major donor fundraising cycle. \nโข Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills. \nโข Proficiency in Google Office suite and fundraising donor management database, preferably Salesforce. \nโข Experience working in a national organization with affiliate structure preferred.\n\nStarting salary; $175K\n\n#LI-SY1\n\n\n\nFinal offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program.
