We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs. We’ve been saving lives every day for over 20 years.\n\nOverview of the role\nThe Creative Director is a newly created role on the content team that will be responsible for developing and executing a visual strategy for The Trevor Project across all major channels. This role will be focused on creating and implementing a compelling design language that elevates the brand identity, drives awareness for—and empowers—The Trevor Project’s life-saving mission to end LGBTQ youth suicide.\nReporting to The Head of Content, this role will lead and inspire a team of talented graphic artists and freelance contributors who will be charged with building design elements that connect with our audience and inspire action. You will work with other creative leaders to develop, ideate and implement big-picture campaign ideas, themes and other high-level brand initiatives. With a sharp eye for detail, you will also be responsible for overseeing and implementing content tactics such as online display ads, photoshoots, YouTube videos, TV commercials, flyers, billboards, branded collateral, direct mail, email, social post, etc. \nThis is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across teams to determine and understand organizational priorities and needs, such as propelling awareness for The Trevor Project’s life-saving crisis intervention services among LGBTQ young people, driving visibility for The Trevor Project’s LGBTQ-affirming mental health resources and research, and attracting new donors and volunteers.
