About the Working Families Party\n\nThe Working Families Party (WFP) is the progressive party for the multiracial working class, fighting for a nation that works for the many, not the few. We recruit, train, and support transformational candidates up and down the ballot โ and run them to win.ย ย \n\nWe believe that no matter where we come from or what our color, most of us want the same things. We want to earn enough to thrive, not just survive, and leave a better future for our kids. We want healthy food and clean water, safe neighborhoods and a safe world. We want to be free. \n\nThe Working Families Party is regular people coming together across our differences to make a better future for us all. Weโre a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful. We want an America which realizes the promise โ unrealized in our history โ of freedom and equality for all.\n\nThe WI Organizer will lead work in target Congressional Districts, ranging from candidate research and endorsement recommendations, to managing organizational relationships, and local coalition building. They are responsible for developing a local governance board and prospects for a statewide governance board by developing and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with individuals and organizations that are aligned with the WFP vision.\n\nThis role will also be responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and building relationships with volunteers, helping to win progressive victories across the state, and advising or working on behalf of candidates in their turf. They will lead recruitment and outreach to activists and volunteers in support of building a membership base, and always beย scouting for potential candidates and campaign staff. This Organizer position is accountable to and supervised by the Wisconsin State Director in regular meetings and written reports, and will also complete additional tasks as delegated by the Wisconsin State Director.\n\nCOVID Policy\nWorking Families Party policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to reasonable accommodation under federal, state, and local law. Accommodations may not be possible for positions that require in-person contact with other staff or members of the public.\n\nDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion\nWorking Families is an equal opportunity employer with a commitment to economic and social justice. Women, people of color, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities, and members of other historically disenfranchised populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
