And whilst we might work hard, we like to celebrate with a good party too - with monthly social club events along with mid and end of year celebrations throughout the year.\n\n\nIf this sounds like a place you would like to work - we want to hear from you!\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n * \nDevelop and provide oversight of features and improvements to Power Ledger products in a secure, well-tested, and performant way that adheres to overall PL architectural goals.\n\n * \nStay up to date with industry trends/best practices and adopt existing concepts, methodologies, etc. in order to create and open up new ways of approaching and fulfilling specific internal and external projects.\n\n * \nCollaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders within Engineering (Frontend, UX, etc.) to maintain ahigh bar for quality in an iterative environment\n\n * \nDrive for improvements to product quality, security, and performance\n\n * \nSolve technical problems of large scope and complexity.\n\n * \nCraft code that meets Powerledgerโs internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.\n\n * \nRecognize impediments to Powerledgerโs efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions\n\n * \nShip small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.\n\n * \nParticipate in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.\n\n * \nShare knowledge and document solutions continuously and proficiently.\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecific Measures of Success - Expected Outcomes\n\n\nKey measures of success:\n\n\n\n * \nDesigning and advocating technology roadmaps and architecture of the Powerledger technology ecosystem while further developing Powerledgerโs defined technical standards and practices to maintain or improve DORA metrics.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOther Measures\n\n\n\n * Complete at least 80% of your quarterly and yearly objectives including but not limited to:\n\n * Spend minimum 20 hours with a target of 40 hours/year on training as detailed and agreed in the training plan.\n\n * Set the standards of code quality and high-level vision for coding quality\n\n * Actively review and contribute to mission-critical PRs in a timely manner.\n\n * Consistently implement improvements each quarter: This could be a process, design pattern, and performance (may include spiking topics) etc as recorded in your Personal Development Plan (Objectives document).\n\n * Act as a trusted advisor for feature leads, and disseminate knowledge across squads\n\n * Identify and manage system risks and implement risk management strategies\n\n * Actively train and mentor team members\n\n * Lead and enable knowledge sharing sessions\n\n * Accountable for cross-squad concerns such as DevOps, Security, cost optimisation as agreed in your Objectives document\n\n * Enhance Powerledgerโs inclusive and productive dev team culture\n\n * Live the Powerledger values\n\n\n\n\n\nSkills\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\nCertification in computer science or equivalent industry experience\n\n\nExperience and Knowledge:\n\n\n\n * > 8years proven experience\n\n * Strong communication skills\n\n * Proven experience designing and implementing complex solutions\n\n * Exceptional programming skills in at least one domain\n\n * Working knowledge in multiple tech domains\n\n * Experience with SQL and MongoDB databases\n\n * Web Services technologies experience i.e. REST\n\n * Experience with microservices architecture\n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n\n\n * Experience developing Spring Boot services\n\n * Experience with Apache Kafka\n\n * Experience with Kubernetes or Docker\n\n * Experience working with Cloud environments and technologies (GCP preferred)\n\n * Basic knowledge of blockchain systems\n\n\n\n\n\nValues\n\n\nOperate consistently with our four values:\n\n\nMission aligned\n\n\nAs team members, we are focused on the mission, and strive to grow our platform in ways that benefit and delight our clients.
